Half Term

So half term is nearly at a close, and I thought I'd finally get around to updating this blog!

So - the last week of school was rather mental.Winter Fayre organising is getting tricky now, we're down to the details i.e. the extremely important jobs. In this case, stall planning and decorations and proving to be the trickiest. Fortunately, we have a fab team behind us to get everything moving quickly and everything is getting done, which is brill. However, I have discovered, balancing Head Girl roles (planning Winter Fayre), A-Levels, homework and everything extra I want to do, very challenging indeed. One minute my brain's on Winter Fayre, and something reminds me about that sketch I promised to write and oh yeah, there's Maths homework I don't understand in for tomorrow.
*grimaces* Happy face!

Some fab news though, is that I have two University offers (TWO!) and frankly I'm very excited and a little bit relived if I'm honest. Just gonna leave that lovely thought in my mind now... Mmmm...
"*coughs*" Ah yes sorry, moving on.

First week of half term holiday was significantly less stressful. Our week in Cornwall was a bit dull, in both the weather and the entertainment. I visited five National Trust properties in six days and frankly, I never want to see another faded tapestry ever again. To add insult to injury it chucked it down every single day we were there. The only respite was one afternoon whilst we were at a property called Antony House, where they filmed Alice in Wonderland, which we spent sitting outside in the sunshine eating a cream tea. Very much appreciated. Thanks weather.

So I'm now into my final week of half term (cries) and I have revision and homework to do, however, I have many other things to do as well, which are not work related... Of course, work should come first, yes? Well, it should, however it turns out I am not very good at prioritising.
"*cough* Stop writing blog posts *coughs*"
Hm? I can't hear you...........
I am having a fabulous Halloween party on, funnily enough, Halloween. So today, being the day before, has been preparation. I have walked to the shops and bought a pumpkin, which I then had to carry home, making me look like a complete ar*e.
I then carved the pumpkin, however, I wouldn't call it scary as such, it looks weirdly happy actually, if that's actually a thing. I also made cinder toffee, which tastes lovely, and toffee apples which are covered in toffee which can only be ranked on a scale which goes from:
Still a bit soggy
to
Break your teeth hard
Not my best culinary achievement, I have to say.
The rest of this week however will be brill, with my Halloween party tomorrow, an 18th party on Friday night and a trip to town to see Bastille in concert (EEK!) on Saturday. This week is looking pretty good for me.
Although, I anticipate Sunday will be something of a mad rush to get revision and Maths homework done for Monday. Wish me luck my lovelies!
